March 2008 -The budget has taken place. A summary of the tax changes can be found on our tax card which is sent to all clients. A newsletter detailing the main changes will be sent out towards the end of March 2008
November 2007 - The new holiday entitlement rules came into effect from 1 October 2007.
October 2007 - From 1 October 2007 the national minimum wage rates increased. For workers aged 22 and over the rate increased from £ 5.35 to £ 5.52 per hour with workers aged between 18 & 21 seeing an increase from £ 4.45 to £ 4.60 and the rate for workers who are 16-17 was increased to £ 3.40 from £ 3.30
September 2007 - Are you ready for the new holiday entitlement rules? From the first of next month (1 October 2007) the statutory holiday entitlement for employees will change from 4 weeks to 4.8 weeks per year (24 days for those working 5 days per week). The holiday entitlement is inclusive of bank holidays and therefore there will be no change for employers already paying time off for bank holidays in addition to the 4 weeks holiday entitlement.
